Jennifer Hermoso departs Tigres Femenil after successful stint in Mexico

Spanish footballer Jennifer Hermoso has officially departed the Mexican club Tigres Femenil. Following a mutual agreement to rescind the remaining six months of her contract, the 36-year-old world champion concluded a successful tenure that included winning the Liga MX Femenil and the Campeón de Campeonas titles.

Hermoso, who arrived in Mexico in 2022 via Pachuca before joining Tigres in early 2024, expressed deep gratitude for her time in the country, stating, “Mexico has been a balm for my soul” and noting that a part of her life remains in Mexico. During her time with the ‘Amazonas’, she recorded significant statistics, including over 30 goals in Liga MX.

While her next destination has not been officially confirmed, reports suggest a potential return to Spain with Atlético de Madrid. Her departure marks the end of a four-year period in Mexican football, during which she became a prominent figure both on the pitch and as an advocate for player rights.
