Jennifer Lawrence to return for The Hunger Games prequel

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed her return to the Hunger Games franchise, reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest. The actress shared the news during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, noting the emotional nature of reuniting with the original cast.

Josh Hutcherson will return as Peeta Mellark, and Woody Harrelson will reprise his role as Haymitch Abernathy. While the film is a prequel, the three actors are set to appear in a scene that has not yet been fully detailed. The production features a new cast, including Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner and Joseph Rada as a young Haymitch Abernathy.

Lawrence described the filming experience as special due to the opportunity to work with familiar production members and her former co-stars.
