Jennifer Lawrence to star in Zach Cregger sci-fi thriller ‘The Flood’

Actress Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in the science fiction thriller ‘The Flood’, directed by Zach Cregger. The film is described as a strange and unsettling sci-fi project scheduled for release in 2028.

The plot reportedly follows a space crew encountering a mysterious extraterrestrial artifact. This project marks a return to the science fiction genre for Lawrence, following her previous work in action-oriented sci-fi such as ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘X-Men’, as well as the 2016 film ‘Passengers’.

Lawrence’s upcoming filmography includes ‘Die My Love’ and Martin Scorsese’s ‘What Happens at Night’. The collaboration between Lawrence and Cregger, a director noted for his original and risky narrative style, has generated significant interest among critics and audiences.
