Jennifer Lynn Stephens sentenced to 13 years for sex trafficking

Jennifer Lynn Stephens has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by the B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster after pleading guilty to 17 charges related to a human sex trafficking operation in Langley, British Columbia. Her crimes included unlawful confinement, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault with a weapon, advertising sexual services, and procuring and benefiting from the sexual services of a person under 18.

The investigation began in early 2023 after an injured woman entered a gas station in Walnut Grove seeking help. Police subsequently uncovered a trafficking ring involving multiple victims, including a 13-year-old girl. During court proceedings, graphic video evidence was presented showing a victim being assaulted over several hours.

In addition to her prison term, Stephens must provide a DNA sample, report to the National Sex Offender Registry for 20 years, and observe a 10-year firearms ban. Given credit for time already served, she is expected to serve approximately 8.5 years in prison.
