Jenny Elvers reveals debt on German show Villa der Versuchung
Actress and TV presenter Jenny Elvers, 53, entered the second season of the German reality series Villa der Versuchung and opened the premiere by declaring she is "broke" because of a dispute with the tax office. She said, "I should win the bum here," indicating her financial motivation.
The show places 14 celebrities in a Thai villa where every indulgence – a bed, a beer, a cigarette or a pool session – costs money that is deducted from a €250,000 prize pool. In the first episode participants already spent about €65,000, with items such as an egg costing €300 and a bottle of wine €500. Host Verona Pooth explained that only potatoes and water are free.
Other contestants include former footballer Thorsten Legat, society figure Tatjana Gsell, and a "cheese millionaire" from Austria. The series premiered on Sat.1 and Joyn on 3 August 2026. A Swiss‑focused article noted the prize as roughly 233,000 CHF, but the format and Elvers’ confession remain the same.
