Jenny Lupton death ruled suicide by Honolulu medical examiner
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death of Southwest Airlines flight attendant Jenny Lupton a suicide. Lupton, 50, died from multiple injuries after falling from a 24th-floor balcony at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki on August 20.
Lupton's family has contested the ruling, expressing belief that her death was not intentional and suggesting it may have been an accident or foul play. Following a request from the family, the Honolulu Police Department launched an investigation on August 24.
While the medical examiner has classified the death as a suicide, police stated that their investigation remains open. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage, conducting interviews, and examining evidence to determine the exact circumstances of the fall.
