The agenda includes restructuring 58 vocational high schools to focus on semiconductor curricula, creating joint training programs with local governments and major chip makers such as Samsung and SK Hynix, and launching a permanent education‑curriculum development institute.

In a recent staff‑wide meeting, education chief Kim Dae‑jung outlined additional reforms: the gradual introduction of narrative‑type assessments, standardisation of free‑meal funding, and strengthened school‑facility safety measures. The integration effort is presented as a way to turn the region into an education platform that directly supports future growth industries while improving overall educational quality.
