Jeongok Prehistory Museum hosts Lim Sun-ok fashion collaboration

The Jeongok Prehistory Museum is hosting a collaborative exhibition titled ‘Guest of Time’ with fashion designer Lim Sun-ok, the creative director of PARTsPARTs. Running from September 29 to October 25, the exhibition uses fashion as a medium to re-examine human history from the prehistoric era to the present.

The showcase features approximately 10 works where modern clothing is placed on prehistoric human skeletons. The fabrics utilize digital printing on uncut material to minimize waste, reflecting Lim's commitment to sustainable production. Following the exhibition, these fabrics will be repurposed into wearable clothing.

A central installation, ‘Table of Time,’ will address themes such as origin, knowledge, power, progress, and responsibility. The opening ceremony on October 1 will include a food performance that modernizes ancient human eating behaviors, such as gathering and using fire, to connect different eras through the act of communal dining.
