Jeonnam-Gwangju Office of Education mourns passing of former Deputy Superintendent Choi Seung-bok

The Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City Office of Education has expressed deep condolences following the passing of former Deputy Superintendent Choi Seung-bok.

Choi, who had served as the Deputy Superintendent for the Jeonnam-Gwangju integrated office since September 2024, passed away on October 1 due to a sudden heart condition. He had recently been appointed as the First Deputy Superintendent of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education but passed away before assuming the new role.

A memorial altar has been established at the Gwangju office through October 5 to allow the education community to pay their respects. Superintendent Kim Dae-jung praised Choi’s dedication to the development of education in the region.
