Jepara promotes Troso weaving at Apkasi Otonomi Expo

The Jepara Regency Government is utilizing the Apkasi Otonomi Expo 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD, Tangerang, to promote regional products and expand market reach. Key items showcased include Troso weaving, traditional crafts, calligraphy, local foods, and coffee.

Anjar Jambore Widodo, Head of the Jepara Industry and Trade Office, stated that the government aims to establish trade cooperation with regions outside of Java. Following the exhibition, the local government plans to provide assistance to mentored MSMEs that secure new orders.

Troso weaving, a cultural heritage from Troso Village, remains a centerpiece of the exhibition. Artisan Nadya Anjani presented various motifs, such as ‘Bulu Perindu’, which utilizes fabric waste, and ‘Bahari’, inspired by fishing nets. The production of a single piece of woven fabric can take between three to four months.
