Jepara village head candidate registration extended

In Jepara Regency, the registration period for village head candidates in Jugo and Kelet villages has been extended until August 31, 2026. This extension is due to a lack of candidates meeting the minimum requirements in these specific areas.

According to Moh Ali, Head of the Jepara Social, Community Empowerment, and Village Services Office, Jugo Village had fewer than two applicants, while Kelet Village was left with only one valid candidate after another failed to complete administrative requirements. In contrast, 22 other villages in the regency have completed the candidate designation process, with 57 candidates officially registered and having participated in the number drawing ceremony.

Campaigning for the established candidates is scheduled for late October 2026, with the simultaneous village head elections set to take place on November 3, 2026.
