Jepara–Kelet Provincial Road Concrete Project Begins in Central Java

Construction of a concrete pavement on the Jepara‑Kelet provincial road in Central Java started in June 2026. The 750‑metre section in Sekuro Village, Mlonggo district, is funded with a budget of Rp7.9 billion, part of a larger Rp29 billion package that also includes a two‑kilometre stretch on the Jepara‑Pati border and rehabilitation of the Slentreng Bridge.

The work, overseen by Sub‑coordinator Suparjo of the Pati Road and Bridge Management Office, follows a preparatory phase of grading and foundation reinforcement before the concrete is laid. Funding comes from a reallocation under the 2026 Central Java Provincial Regulation. The project is slated to continue through the end of the year, with Jepara Regent Witiarso Utomo praising the initiative as a response to long‑standing community complaints and a boost to local safety and economic activity.
