Jere Karalahti challenges Mika Ilmén to boxing match at Helsinki’s Ice Hall
Former ice‑hockey player Jere Karalahti has issued a public challenge to ex‑professional mixed‑martial‑arts fighter Mika “Immu” Ilmén for a boxing bout. The challenge was posted on Instagram, where Karalahti called Ilmén a “paskahousu” and demanded a fight to see who falls first.
The match is slated for September 12 as part of the Immu Fight Night event, to be held in Helsinki’s Ice Hall. Ilmén, who has previously fought twice in the ring – winning at Ice Cage 4 and at the Immun Fight Club – accepted the challenge in an Instagram video, saying he will meet Karalahti in the ring.
Karalahti, who debuted in boxing in September 2025 and lost his first bout, later faced a drug‑related arrest and was sentenced in the spring to one year and nine months of conditional imprisonment. He now says his life is back on track and wants to return to competition, promising a showdown that will attract attention across Finland.
