Jeremiah Estrada placed on 15-day IL by San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres have placed reliever Jeremiah Estrada on the 15-day injured list due to a right shoulder impingement. This marks the third time Estrada has been sidelined this season, following previous stints for right elbow tendinitis and right knee inflammation.

To fill Estrada’s roster spot, the Padres recalled right-handed pitcher David Morganto from Triple-A El Paso. Estrada has been a key high-leverage component of the Padres' bullpen this season, posting a 3.48 ERA across 33 appearances.

His absence creates complications for manager Craig Stammen’s bullpen management as the team approaches the end of the regular season. The team may see increased usage from players such as Mason Miller, Adrian Morejon, Jason Adam, Bradgley Rodriguez, Yuki Matsui, and Kyle Hart.
