Jeremiah Franklin Joins Miami Dolphins After Patriots Waive Tight End

The New England Patriots released rookie tight end Jeremiah Franklin on Tuesday, ending an 11‑day stint that began when the team signed the undrafted Boston College alumnus following a roster move that placed wide receiver Jimmy Kibble on injured reserve. Franklin, 22, recorded 93 receptions for 1,010 yards and six touchdowns during his college career.

The Miami Dolphins claimed Franklin off waivers the next day, adding him to a tight end group already stretched by injuries. Coach Jeff Hafley highlighted Franklin’s experience at Boston College as the Dolphins look to bolster depth at the position ahead of preseason play.
