Jeremiah St. Juste discusses missed Bayern Munich transfer and national team snub
Feyenoord defender Jeremiah St. Juste has expressed frustration regarding missed career opportunities and his lack of recognition by the Netherlands national team. In a recent interview, the 29-year-old revealed that he was close to signing with Bayern Munich following a strong period at Mainz, but a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery caused the club to lose confidence in his fitness, ultimately preventing the transfer.
St. Juste also lamented that his time playing in Portugal for Sporting CP led to him being overlooked by Dutch selectors. He noted that despite playing in the Champions League and securing victories against major clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur, his performances did not result in a national team call-up. He remarked, “You go to Portugal and they forget about you.”
After facing injury challenges that limited him to only six appearances last season, St. Juste is currently seeking more consistency in the Netherlands, having started most of Feyenoord's recent matches.
