Jeremie Frimpong linked with potential £35m move to Barcelona

Reports suggest Liverpool is open to selling right-back Jeremie Frimpong to Barcelona in the January 2027 transfer window. According to Spanish journalist Juan Jesus, Liverpool would be willing to accept approximately £35 million for the 25-year-old player.

Frimpong, who joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025, has reportedly struggled to adapt to the Premier League. His time at Anfield has been hampered by injuries and limited playing time; he has made only 40 appearances in total and has struggled to secure a starting role under manager Andoni Iraola.

Barcelona has identified Frimpong as a potential candidate to strengthen their right-back position. The player is said to be receptive to a move to the Spanish club.
