Jeremiyah Love ruled out with high ankle sprain

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love has been ruled out for the second consecutive game due to a high left ankle sprain. The injury, which has persisted since a preseason appearance on August 13, was aggravated during a Week 4 game against the Giants.

Head coach Mike LaFleur stated that the team is prioritizing Love's full recovery to ensure he can cut and move effectively, noting that his ability to plant his foot is currently compromised. While the injury has limited his production—averaging 3.7 yards per carry over five games—the team has opted not to place him on injured reserve to avoid a mandatory four-week absence.

No official return date has been set, though November 1 against Dallas is considered a realistic possibility. Love expressed personal frustration regarding the injury, describing it as a long and difficult year.
