Jeremy Alcoba wins WorldSSP Race 2 at Estoril
Jeremy Alcoba secured a significant weekend at the Estoril Circuit in the WorldSSP championship. In Race 1, the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team rider achieved a third-place podium finish after a strong recovery from a fourth-row start, finishing just behind newly crowned world champion Albert Arenas.
In Race 2, Alcoba claimed victory in a chaotic race that was interrupted by a red flag and shortened to six laps due to weather conditions and debris on the track. Following the restart, Alcoba took the lead in the fourth lap and maintained his advantage to win by 0.378 seconds over Filippo Farioli. Valentin Debise finished third, securing second place in the overall world championship standings.
While Alcoba's performance moved him into a tie for fourth in the championship standings with 229 points, Albert Arenas remains the leader heading into the season finale in Jerez.
