Jeremy Allen White discusses social media skepticism

Actor Jeremy Allen White has revealed a unique method to limit his social media usage: deleting apps immediately after every use. The 35-year-old ‘The Bear’ star told the Deutsche Presse-Agentur in New York that the friction of having to reinstall the apps prevents him from being constantly active on these platforms at home.

White expressed broader concerns regarding the influence of major internet corporations, stating they have changed lives by claiming a significant portion of human time and attention. He voiced particular concern for the impact on children and young people.

White and actress Mikey Madison are co-stars in Aaron Sorkin’s new film, ‘The Social Reckoning’. The movie explores the power of social networks and the ‘Facebook Files’, based on the story of whistleblower Francis Haugen. Madison noted that she avoids social media entirely and has never held an account in her adult life.
