Jeremy Allen White reportedly in talks with Marvel for Wolverine role
Actor Jeremy Allen White, known for his roles in “The Bear” and “Shameless”, has reportedly met with Marvel Studios to discuss playing Wolverine in the upcoming X-Men reboot. According to reports from industry insider Jeff Sneider, the discussions involve a potentially small initial role in the film directed by Jake Schreier, which is slated for release in May 2028, with the character expected to receive significantly more screen time in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
While no official casting has been confirmed by Marvel Studios, the rumors suggest White could serve as a successor to Hugh Jackman, who has portrayed the character for over two decades. Observers have noted that White’s physical stature, standing approximately 1.70 meters, aligns more closely with the comic book depiction of Logan than Jackman’s 1.88-meter frame.
Other cast members for the X-Men reboot have already been identified, including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. The project aims to integrate the mutant franchise into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of “Avengers: Secret Wars”.
