Jeremy Clarkson disputes parking plans with West Oxfordshire Council
Jeremy Clarkson has entered a new dispute with the West Oxfordshire District Council regarding planning permissions for his Diddly Squat Farm enterprises. The disagreement centers on a request to lay crushed hardcore in a field used as a car park for his recently opened pub, The Farmers’ Dog.
Clarkson stated that the delay in receiving a response from local authorities prevents him from surfacing the muddy field before winter. He warned that without this work, customers risk dragging significant amounts of mud onto surrounding public roads. The presenter expressed frustration with the planning system, noting that previous regulatory hurdles regarding a restaurant and parking facilities have caused significant local tension and financial costs.
Clarkson indicated that the inability to complete these preparations could impact his agricultural and hospitality operations, which support nearly 300 jobs.
