Jeremy Doku criticizes former coach Rudi Garcia's tactics

Belgian winger Jeremy Doku has expressed frustration regarding his tactical usage by former national team coach Rudi Garcia during the World Cup. Speaking to Play Sports, Doku criticized the decision to play him out of his preferred position on the left flank, noting that he was frequently deployed on the right or even centrally, such as during the match against Egypt.

Doku stated, “You shouldn't start inventing things,” suggesting that his strengths were not being utilized effectively. He noted that while the Belgian team achieved a successful tournament by reaching the quarter-finals, his personal performance was hindered by these tactical choices and a respiratory infection during the event.

Currently, the Manchester City player is dealing with a calf injury.
