Jeremy Doku signs five-year contract extension with Manchester City

Manchester City has announced a five-year contract extension for Belgian winger Jeremy Doku, securing his future at the club until the summer of 2031. The 24-year-old joined the Premier League side from French club Rennes in 2023.

Since his arrival, Doku has made 131 appearances, scoring 22 goals and providing 34 assists. His tenure has included winning five major trophies: the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the Community Shield. Doku also recently represented Belgium in the World Cup, helping the team reach the quarter-finals.

Doku cited the club’s support and the playing style of new manager Enzo Maresca as key factors in his decision to commit long-term. City’s director of football, Hugo Viana, praised Doku’s unique dynamism and rapid development. Doku becomes the fourth first-team player to sign a long-term extension this summer, following Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol, and Abdukodir Khusanov.
