Jeremy Jacquet earns praise for technical skills at Liverpool and France

Liverpool defender Jeremy Jacquet is receiving significant praise following his performances for the France national team during the international break. Former Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti highlighted Jacquet’s rare ability to deliver line-breaking passes, noting that while his defensive fundamentals are strong, his technical skill on the ball distinguishes him from typical centre-backs.

Jacquet’s rise is attributed to Liverpool’s proactive scouting and recruitment strategy. The club identified him as a long-term prospect based on his composure, decision-making, and ability to operate in a high defensive line. His profile as a modern defender—capable of both winning duels and initiating attacks—aligns with the tactical requirements of Liverpool’s aggressive playing style.
