Jeremy Jacquet impresses at Liverpool following €63.6m transfer

Liverpool FC defender Jeremy Jacquet has made a significant impact following his €63.6 million transfer from Stade Rennais. The 21-year-old Frenchman has secured a starting role in the early stages of the 2026-2027 season, forming a defensive partnership with Virgil van Dijk to fill the void left by Ibrahima Konate.

While Jacquet has stabilized the center of the defense, Liverpool continues to manage challenges in other positions. Following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold and a major knee injury to Conor Bradley, the club has utilized various players in the right-back role. Amidst these defensive shifts, interest has surfaced regarding Feyenoord's 20-year-old Dutch player Givairo Read, who has drawn attention for his dual defensive and attacking capabilities.
