Jeremy Monga draws Arsenal and Premier League rivals as Arsenal leads transfer pursuit

Leicester City academy winger Jeremy Monga, a 15‑year‑old who has already featured for England U15 and U16 sides and helped Leicester win the U16 Premier League Cup, is being touted as one of Europe’s hottest young prospects. His performances for the club’s under‑21 and under‑18 teams, including nine combined goals and assists, have sparked interest from several top clubs.

Arsenal are reported to be in pole position to secure Monga’s signature, with the club’s sporting director Andrea Berta leading negotiations. Other clubs that have shown interest include Brentford, Newcastle United and an unnamed German side. Arsenal hope to complete the deal after Monga turns 17 on July 10, when his first professional contract with Leicester can be activated, allowing the Foxes to command a fee. If a fee cannot be agreed, a tribunal may decide the terms, similar to a recent compensation case involving Liverpool and Chelsea.
