Jerez administration undergoes performance review with UAZ supervision

The municipal administration of Jerez, Zacatecas, is undergoing a performance review as part of the Second Stage of the 2025-2027 Municipal Performance Advisory Guide. Mayor Rodrigo Ureño Bañuelos is participating in the process, which is being technically supervised by the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (UAZ).

The evaluation focuses on reviewing the management indicators of the local government's administrative units to ensure compliance with constitutional functions and federal, state, and municipal legal frameworks. The goal of the initiative is to strengthen public management and improve the quality of life for the local population.

Dr. María Teresa Villegas Santillán from the UAZ Academic Unit of Accounting and Administration noted progress in the municipal administration's institutional management and performance. The advisory guide serves as a diagnostic tool to help municipal governments identify areas for improvement and establish actions to strengthen institutional performance.
