Jerez approves 17 new homes and urban revitalization projects
The Local Historical Heritage Commission has approved several urban intervention projects in the historic center of Jerez, aimed at creating 17 new homes and revitalizing emblematic buildings.
Key residential projects include the conversion of a commercial space on Ponce Street into 11 dwellings and 32 storage units, comprising nine one-bedroom apartments, one two-bedroom apartment, and a studio. Additionally, a two-story listed building on Campana Street will undergo a complete rehabilitation to create six new homes, addressing advanced deterioration caused by lack of maintenance.
The approved plans also include the adaptation of a 19th-century winery complex on Muro Street. Part of the facility will be transformed into a celebration hall and exhibition space, while preserving its original winemaking activities. Other approved changes include the adaptation of a local on Tornería Street for use as a bakery and pastry shop.
