Jerez launches 'Entre Vinos' wine festival as Spain debates a national CyberWine week

The city of Jerez will host the "Entre Vinos: Tintos y Blancos" festival from 3 to 5 September in the Claustros de Santo Domingo. The three‑day event, organized by the Asociación Hostelería Jerez and the Sociedad Jerezana del Vino, will feature 23 winery stands, four gastronomic spaces, daily wine tastings and live music, and is part of Jerez’s program as the Spanish Gastronomy Capital 2026 with support from the municipal council.

At the same time, industry analysts are discussing whether Spain could launch a "CyberWine" week – a digital wine‑shopping campaign modeled on Argentina’s successful CyberWine events. The Argentine edition attracted 44 wineries, over 442,000 website visits and sales of 828 million Argentine pesos. Spain’s wine consumption has fallen 7.3% in the past year, while e‑commerce activity has risen sharply, prompting calls for a coordinated online promotion to boost sales and visibility for Spanish wineries.
