Jerez Local Police increase emergency assistance for elderly residents

The Local Police in Jerez conducted a special operation during the last week of August 2026 to assist elderly residents facing isolation and health emergencies.

During this period, officers responded to 16 emergency calls inside private residences, primarily assisting elderly individuals who had suffered falls and were unable to get up. Additionally, patrols provided immediate aid to citizens who fainted in public spaces due to heatstroke or sudden illness, coordinating urgent medical assistance before hospital transfers. The high volume of these humanitarian interventions highlights the increasing role of local law enforcement as a primary support network for vulnerable populations in the city.
