Jerez renovates tourist signage with digital technology

The Jerez City Council is implementing a new tourist signage system as part of the first phase of the Large Cities Tourism Plan. This initiative, co-financed by the Junta de Andalucía, involves installing new pedestrian directional signs, location information, and visitor center identifiers.

The new signage is designed to incorporate Bluetooth beacons, allowing users to receive digital information via their devices. Additionally, the project includes the development of virtual itineraries using augmented reality and audiovisual clips to enhance visitor autonomy. This effort is part of the municipality's 2025-2027 Strategic Tourism Plan to modernize outdated infrastructure and digitalize services.
