Jerikye Williams succeeds in The Voice blind audition

Jerikye Williams, a 24-year-old singer from Queanbeyan, successfully completed a blind audition on The Voice, turning two chairs with a performance of ‘Johnny B. Goode’ by Chuck Berry.

Williams, who is of Wiradjuri heritage, performed in a custom multicoloured suit and a guitar strap featuring Indigenous art. The audition drew attention from celebrity judges Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke. During the event, Williams also participated in an impromptu jam session with musician Richard Marx.
