Jermaine Wattimena wins Players Championship 27 title

Dutch darts player Jermaine Wattimena secured his third career Players Championship title by winning Players Championship 27. In the final held at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, Wattimena defeated Kevin Doets 8-6 after an 11-dart finish secured the victory.

Wattimena’s performance included a notable 6-5 win over world champion Luke Littler in the quarter-finals and a comeback in the semi-finals against Luke Woodhouse, where he won six consecutive legs. This victory marks his fourth Pro Tour final of the 2026 season, placing him in an elite group of players including Gerwyn Price, Ross Smith, and Luke Woodhouse.

Only Wessel Nijman has reached more finals this season, with nine appearances. Wattimena’s consistent deep runs across the Pro Tour and European Tour are expected to significantly impact his standing on the PDC Order of Merit.
