Jerónima exhibition opens at Igreja de São Vicente in Évora
The Igreja de São Vicente in Évora is hosting a painting exhibition by Jerónima, an Alentejo-born artist who has resided in Chartres, France, for 52 years. The exhibition, which runs until September 24, is part of a cultural revitalization program linked to the twinning between Évora and Chartres.
Jerónima’s work is characterized by color, spontaneity, and emotional intensity, focusing on intuitive expression rather than figurative representation. The showcase features canvases reflecting 26 years of her artistic evolution. The event also includes a musical component featuring the group ‘Cantes do Vagar’, highlighting the dialogue between different cultural expressions.
