Jerome Anixter arrested at JFK Airport after disruptive Delta flight incident
Jerome Anixter, a 60-year-old real estate agent from Brooklyn, was arrested at New York’s JFK Airport after causing a major disturbance on a Delta Air Lines flight bound for Atlanta. The incident occurred while the aircraft, carrying 160 passengers and six crew members, was preparing for departure.
Witnesses and video footage indicate that Anixter, who appeared intoxicated, engaged in a verbal rant involving racial slurs and expletives. Reports state he made threats, including shouting “death to America” and imitating gunfire with hand gestures while being escorted from the plane by Port Authority police.
Anixter faces multiple charges, including assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration. Delta Air Lines issued a statement noting they have “zero tolerance for disruptive behavior” and apologized to the passengers for the experience. The flight departed approximately 45 minutes behind schedule.
