Jerome Boateng in talks to join Trabzonspor coaching staff

Trabzonspor is currently working to build a technical staff following the appointment of German manager Thomas Reis, who recently signed a two-year contract. As part of this restructuring, the club held face-to-face meetings with former German national team player Jerome Boateng regarding a potential role as an assistant coach.

Boateng, who has played for major clubs including Bayern Munich and Manchester City, reportedly traveled to Trabzon to meet with club officials to discuss joining Reis’s coaching staff. While initial contact has been made, no final agreement has been reached, and Boateng has since departed the city.

In addition to discussions with Boateng, the club is looking to strengthen the technical team with other professionals. Potential additions include Markus Gellhaus, a former colleague of Reis, as well as Ton Lokhoff and Danijel Zenkovic, who have worked with the manager in previous roles.
