Jerry Bruckheimer open to Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt movie crossover

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has expressed interest in a potential film crossover featuring actors Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The idea involves linking Cruise’s upcoming ‘Days of Thunder’ sequel with Pitt’s ‘F1’ movie, both of which Bruckheimer is producing.

Bruckheimer described the two actors as ‘icons’ and stated, ‘I would love that. It would be great to put those two amazing actors together.’ While the possibility of a shared cinematic universe has been discussed by director Joseph Kosinski, no official development for a crossover has been confirmed.

Regarding the ‘Days of Thunder’ sequel, Bruckheimer noted that the project is currently in pre-production with a primary focus on completing the screenplay. The film, which sees Cruise returning as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, is targeting a release in 2027 or 2028.
