Dallas Cowboys trade deadline rumors focus on Josh Sweat and George Pickens
As the NFL trade deadline approaches on November 10, the Dallas Cowboys are being linked to several key players despite a 3-5 season record. Reports from NFL insiders suggest the Cowboys are monitoring Arizona Cardinals pass-rusher Josh Sweat. While Sweat is reportedly open to a move, the Cardinals have set a high asking price for the veteran edge rusher.
There has also been speculation regarding wide receiver George Pickens. Although some analysts suggest trading Pickens could provide value, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that there is currently “nothing there” regarding a trade for the playmaker. This aligns with the team’s position in a competitive NFC East, where they remain within striking distance of the division lead.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has expressed skepticism regarding the impact of coaching salaries on winning, stating there is “zero correlation” between pay and success. Jones has also indicated that he does not anticipate making significant defensive additions before the deadline, even as the team struggles with league-low rankings in yards allowed.
