Jerry Seinfeld responds to anti-Israel hecklers in Chicago
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was interrupted by anti-Israel protesters during a performance at the Chicago Theatre. Activists from the Anti-War Committee Chicago and the US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN-Chicago) heckled the comedian, accusing him of being a “genocide apologist” due to his public support for Israel.
During the confrontation, protesters shouted accusations regarding the conflict in Gaza and the use of American taxpayer money. Seinfeld responded sarcastically to the interruptions, at one point mockingly repeating the protesters' characterizations of his stance. He told the audience he would find out the cost of the hecklers' tickets and donate the money to Israel, before jokingly adding, “No I won’t, I’m keeping it.”
This incident follows a pattern of disruptions for Seinfeld, who has been an outspoken supporter of Israel since the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023. He has previously visited the country to meet with hostage families and has faced similar walk-outs and protests at other public appearances.
