Jersey Mike's named title sponsor of the EFL Trophy

The English Football League (EFL) has announced that American sub brand Jersey Mike’s will become the new title sponsor of the EFL Trophy. Replacing Vertu Motors, the partnership is set to run until the end of the 2030/31 season.

The sponsorship coincides with Jersey Mike’s expansion into the United Kingdom. The company plans to open its first flagship UK restaurant on Argyll Street in London later this year. Founded in 1956 on the Jersey Shore, the brand currently operates more than 3,300 locations across the United States and Canada.

The EFL Trophy serves as a developmental platform for emerging talent; during the 2025/26 season, 123 EFL Academy players made their professional debuts in the competition. Notable players who debuted in the tournament include England internationals Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Reece James.
