Jersey Shore locals urged to practice better beach etiquette

As the Jersey Shore enters ‘local summer’ following Labor Day, residents are being encouraged to observe better beach etiquette to maintain a pleasant environment for neighbors and locals.

Based on feedback from visitors and locals in Asbury Park, the three most common beach pet peeves identified are kicking sand, sitting too close to others, and feeding seagulls. These habits are highlighted as behaviors that should be avoided to ensure the remaining beach season remains enjoyable for the community.
