Jerusalem children to participate in annual summer camp in Morocco

Fifty children from Jerusalem are preparing to travel to Morocco to participate in the 17th annual summer camp, titled "Manarat al-Salam" (Lighthouse of Peace). The event is organized by the Al-Quds Bait al-Mal Agency under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.

Scheduled to take place from August 12 to August 26, 2026, the camp includes a summer school program aimed at fostering cultural exchange between Palestinian and Moroccan children. Preparations included sports training in football and basketball, as well as artistic activities. The camp activities will launch at the Skhirat seaside resort near Rabat, featuring workshops on the safe use of digital technologies.

Participants aim to learn about Moroccan culture while sharing aspects of life and culture in Jerusalem with their Moroccan peers. Organizers noted that for many of these children, this represents a rare opportunity for international travel.
