Jesi and Filottrano to host Grand Baroque Singing Gala

The Alessandro Lanari Foundation is hosting the “Nei Teatri del ‘700” Grand Baroque Singing Gala on September 5 and 6. The event serves as the concluding ceremony for the inaugural Pergolesi International Baroque Singing Competition, which attracted participants from multiple continents.

The concert features approximately ten finalists representing various vocal ranges, including sopranos, tenors, bass-contraltos, and countertenors, performing major operatic works from the 18th century. The performances will take place in Jesi at the Sala “Pergolesi” on September 5, and in Filottrano at Palazzo Accorretti on September 6.

Designed to recreate the social and cultural atmosphere of the 1700s, the evenings include musical conviviality. The Jesi event features an “Honorary Wine” toast following the concert, while the Filottrano program includes a musicological introduction and a courtesy refreshment.
