Jesi begins Palazzo Battaglia elevator construction

Construction is set to begin in Jesi for the installation of a new elevator at Palazzo Battaglia. The project, valued at approximately 310,000 euros, aims to improve accessibility to the historic center, specifically connecting via Nazario Sauro to the upper floor and the Mercantini underground parking area.

The works will start next Monday and are expected to last 180 days. The initial phase involves dismantling two old escalator ramps that have been out of service for 30 years. For safety reasons, pedestrian passage will be prohibited throughout the duration of the intervention. The new elevator system will include security features such as video surveillance linked to the municipal control system. Completion and operational status are anticipated for next spring.
