Jesi implements experimental public transport reorganization

The city of Jesi is currently undergoing a trial period for a reorganized urban public transport service managed by Conerobus. The new plan, which includes updated routes, stops, and schedules, has faced criticism from residents. A local petition has been launched, with citizens claiming that the replacement of direct routes with transfer-based paths and a reduction in the number of trips have made commuting more difficult, particularly for the elderly, students, and those without cars.

In response to the ongoing experimentation, the Municipality of Jesi stated it is constantly monitoring the service and evaluating feedback from citizens via the Municipium app to make necessary adjustments. Officials emphasized that school transport remains unchanged and that efforts are being made to synchronize connections. To encourage the use of the revised service, the Municipality is offering 150 free monthly bus passes for October, which are renewable for November and December for commuters and those traveling for sports.
