Italian municipalities address local management and infrastructure issues

Various local administrative and civic issues are being addressed across several Italian municipalities. In the San Paolo district, the Associazione Ricreativa San Paolo has called on Mayor Francesco Menna to relocate the local market to Piazzale De Gasperi to alleviate traffic congestion and parking shortages caused by market stalls.

In Capannori, councilor Domenico Caruso has proposed binding guidelines for the appointment of administrators to municipal companies. The motion aims to ensure that appointments are based on professional competence and academic qualifications rather than political affiliation, seeking to increase transparency and impartiality in public service management.

In Pesaro, Luca Ceriscioli, president of Marche Multiservizi, addressed recent water service disruptions caused by aqueduct breaks. He announced that 22 million euros are available for infrastructure interventions to prevent future issues and defended the company against claims of inadequate maintenance.
