Jesi residents protest new speed bumps on via Piandelmedico
Residents and motorists in Jesi are raising concerns regarding newly installed speed bumps on via Piandelmedico. The primary complaints involve the height of the devices, their visibility, and inadequate signage, particularly during evening and nighttime hours.
Drivers have reported that the bumps feel like a wall, leading to fears of mechanical damage to vehicle tires, suspensions, and steering arms. Local Councilor Valeria Melappioni noted that the installed devices are designed to be compatible with a 30 km/h speed limit. The installation follows a municipal decision in June to reduce speed limits in the area near the Sant’Antonio Abate church to improve safety.
