Jesi SAI service operators report years of violence and aggression
Staff members of the SAI (Ancona Provincia di Asilo) service in Jesi have reported years of repeated violence and aggression from a 26-year-old Pakistani man, a former beneficiary of the reception project.
The incidents have escalated recently, including stones being thrown at office windows and the rear window of a staff member's car being smashed. Workers report a history of property damage, such as destroyed entrance doors and broken office furniture. The individual has a documented history of criminal behavior in the city, including smashing vending machines and damaging vehicles, which previously led to an arrest and a ban from the area.
Operators expressed profound fear for their physical safety, stating they have had to barricade themselves in offices and seek refuge from the individual. The staff is calling on local institutions, including the Municipality of Jesi and ASP9, to provide concrete security measures and protection, noting that previous reports to law enforcement have not resulted in lasting changes to their safety conditions.
