Jesi unveils masterplan for former hospital redevelopment

The municipality of Jesi has presented a masterplan for the redevelopment of the former hospital area on Viale della Vittoria. The project, designed by architects Camillo Magni and internationally renowned Giancarlo Mazzanti, aims to create a strategic link between the city's historic center and its modern districts.

The urban plan focuses on community integration by combining residential spaces, commerce, and services. Key features of the proposal include raised buildings to maintain spatial continuity, green areas, a sports facility, and senior housing. The project also includes the recovery of existing structures and a staircase to manage the elevation difference between Corso Matteotti and Viale della Vittoria.

Urban planning assessor Valeria Melappioni noted that the plan is the result of a participatory process involving public consultation. The strategy seeks to foster a public city heart that encourages private sector contribution while valuing existing local landmarks.
